It’s summer break! Open up the pools, throw on some sunscreen, and let’s chill. It’s been a long school year, and I want to give the BIGGEST thank you to all teachers, paraprofessionals, librarians, office staff, bus drivers, and so many others who work every day to provide support and care to students.

One of the big things Safe & Healthy Schools did this year was to partner with the University of Wyoming Multicultural Affairs to hold the Gender Affirming Series. We hosted four sessions with a purpose of connecting the Wyoming queer community to gender affirming resources. These sessions took place in person and online, and the most exciting part….all of them were recorded!

This first video is from our first event, which highlighted HRT/Hormone Blockers. We were honored to have Diane Bruessow (PA-C), who runs Healthy Transitions, LLC, a medical practice dedicated to the care of transgender and nonbinary patients across the lifespan. This presentation was spectacular as Diane shared the important effects of HRT and Hormone Blockers.
