To me, pride means:

Expressive Freedom

Being called by my new name

Coming together and standing up for who you are, 

And safely be who I am 

Pride is…

Being able to talk about equality

Being proud of every part of myself

It is expressing my humanity,

Without judgment or violence

To me, pride means…

Not apologizing

Not being ashamed

Wearing what I want

Being WHO I am

Pride is…

Being proud of who you are, who I am

Loving who I love, respecting who you love

It’s a verb, an adjective, a parade, an expression 

It is a feeling that wells up inside you - it can fill your heart.

Pride is being treated with dignity

In my home, my school, my street, my town

Pride is being given the patience and grace to discover myself

Pride is standing alone

Pride is standing together 

To us, pride means freedom
